After the ward party in Farmington, drove to Legacy and rode down it. It was a late start so went I got to the Centerville underpass I went straight instead of staying on Legacy. There is a newer trail called Prospector's Trail which goes down the old railroad trail. The sign says it is 1.6 Miles long. It was pitch black by the time I got to the end. Turned around and rode back to Farmington Train station.

For Mutual tonight we went bike riding down Legacy. Took 4 Deacons and Layne Kap. I stayed back with Justice G while the others tried to go as far as they could in 25 Minutes before turning around. Justice and I only made it to the I-15 underpass before turning around. I was disappointed but he had just got back from football practice and hadn't had anything to eat since noon :(

Got up early and went to Farmington to ride Legacy. This was the first time since getting my new bike for Father's day that I could really ride the way I wanted. Pedaled the first 12.6 miles in 42 minutes. Average speed was 17.7 MPH. On the way back to Farmington I went 17.4 MPH. Overall it took less then 1.5 hours to go the distance. I really didn't push it either, just a very good bike.

Worked at Camp Browning today on the remodeling of the bathrooms. Had to stop at Home Depot for plumbing parts. Took the new mountain bike to Legacy Parkway and rode the trail. Started riding at 9:20 pm. Almost dark. Make it 11.5 miles and the NSL trail head in 40 minutes. The new bike is fast also. I didn't go to the end of Legacy cause it was dark and that part of the trail has so many curves. Got back to Farmington and loaded up and driving home by 10:40 pm. Very nice and quiet ride

Okay for Father's Day, Carrie and Grant bought me a new amazing mountain bike. Very Smooth ride and it has back brakes too. The old one didn't after I took them off. Went to the Bear Lake Cabin this weekend to work on the tile floor. Saturday afternoon, while the thin set dried, I went on my first ride with the new bike. Started in Laketown and rode the east side of the lake. Went about 11 miles and heard a high pitch buzzing noise. Turned around and looked along the road and saw a snake, and yep only one kind makes that kind of noise. By the time I had stopped I was 20 feet away and it was coiled up. With a couple well placed rocks I had injured it and itg was heading for cover. A few more close throws and it was headed to the next life. There is no good reasons to keep a rattler alive. Rode the bike another little while and turned around and headed back to Laketown. Funny thing is about the place I had killed the snake, now there was a 15-16 year old sitting in the sagebush along the road talking on her phone. She couldn't have been 300 feet from the dead rattler :/
